Taking a mostly sporting theme, here’s a few things that made us say “That’s interesting” in the studio this week.

 

Riding is the answer

Cycling brand Rapha have teamed up with an external creative agency for the first time, to create its latest campaign, which looks at the camaraderie of cycling in Los Angeles. Consisting of a 99-second film, the campaign shows that with friends, even the worst traffic can’t deter a good ride.

Carrying on with the sporting theme this week, Animators Smith & Foulkes, together with Nexus Studios and agency McCann, have created an animated journey through the history of tennis, highlighting the 150th anniversary of Wimbledon. The beautifully crafted video seamlessly merges together eight illustration styles, from Victorian lithographs to graphic novels from the 90s.

Crayola makeup

The crayon giant has teamed up with ASOS to create a range of brightly coloured makeup products, all of which use the iconic Crayola packaging. The 58-product range contains 95 bright and bold, with the eyeliners and lipsticks looking just like the plastic pen casings themselves, using nibs fashioned like the fresh tip of the classic Crayola crayon.

Coke World Cup Cans

Coke has launched a special edition design on its cans for the World Cup in Russia. Each can is printed with a different number, allowing consumers to predict the score of the next match and share with their friends via social media.
