Tokyo Paralympics 2020 Torch

With five flames rising up to form the petals of the iconic Japanese cherry blossom, the torch design for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games is probably one of the simplest, most dainty and tasteful ones to date. Imagined by Tokujin Yoshioka, it also symbolises recovery and sustainability, and is made in part with material recycled from the temporary housing built in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

The world’s first craft beer airline has officially taken off: its first journey was a chartered flight from London to Columbus, Ohio, home to the BrewDog hotel and brewery (the DogHouse). From limited edition high altitude brews, to a beer-paired tasting menu, every part of the flight experience has been carefully crafted by the brand.

Spark progress

Converse is supporting emerging female creatives with its new Spark Progress initiative. To kick off the SP19 campaign, a video has been launched, featuring snapshots of the everyday lives and struggles of young urban creatives, from Peckham to Hackney. It’s a powerful initiative and, the co-creatives declare, “while others are busy deciding our future, we’re busy making our own.”
